  BIOGRAPHY
 

R.J. Williams grew up in Camden, Maine, and completed a B.A. in English/Communications at the University of Pennsylvania. RJ began work as a copy editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer and then moved on toPortland, Oregon to work as an editor and reporter at Willamette Week, Portland's Pulitzer Prize-winning weekly newspaper, officially covering music, politics, technology, religion and social trends.

In 2001, RJ moved to Toronto to work as a Senior Editorial and contributing writer with NOW, Toronto's weekly news and entertainment voice. By 2005 RJ decided to give up the steady pay and benfits of the corporate world to begin freelancing full-time.

RJ has been published in numerous newspapers, journals, and magazines throughout the Americas and Europe with plans to break into the Asian news market early next year.

In the past few years, RJ Williams has also ventured into the world of commercial writing, producing brochures, newsletters and press releases. RJ's published short story, The One Left Standing, was recently produced as a mini-play for the Berkshire Theatre Festival.
